Have you ever been to a temple car festival? And wondered how beautiful the chariot is decorated with the God and Goddess seated inside?
Here is a chance to have a close look at the temple chariot, draw and paint it and win prizes too!
The contest starts at 8am on March 31.
Open to all kids in the age group of 8 to 12 years.
One of the famous temples in the city, Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore will be celebrating the 10 day festival from March 24. The chariot will be drawn around the Mada streets of Mylapore on March 30. The 'ther' (chariot) comes back to its parking place by the same evening.
All you have to do is to pack your drawing and painting kit (chart paper, pencil, eraser, ruler, colour pencils or crayons or water colour, etc.,) and be at the Sannidhi street in front of the 'ther'
You will sit around the place and draw the ther as you see in front of you!
Exciting?
No registration. Just land up there and enjoy the different experience.
The contest is organised by the neighbourhood newspaper Mylapore Times and a voluntary organisation Namma Mylapore.
