Eco friendly cabs in Chennai and more news...

Have you seen the new eco friendly cab launched in Chennai recently?
If not, view a picture of the cab on the YOCee's ePaper.

Whenever the Team YOCee comes across interesting happenings, we think of the kids who would love to know about them.

That's the reason we publish the ePaper.

How is it different from the website, a curious question popped up from one of the parents who keenly follows the website YOCee. We replied, "Read it once and you will see it all for yourself!"
He came back quickly to say - Yes, this is different!

The website aims at sharing news, info and reports mainly my student reporters, who are part of the annual programme YOCee hosts. But the Team YOCee reports on all the news and information that would interest the kids, of course, of Chennai city.
Know your neighbourhood first is YOCee's policy!

If you like the ePaper, subscribe to it and get it delivered directly on your desktop. It's free!
What can you do to YOCee in return? Spread the word among your young friends and support us with more readership!

Or download once on to your desktop and read it at your leisure.
Or take a print out and read it while travelling.
Or forward the it to a friend who will be interested in keeping pace with the city of Chennai and the news for and by kids in Chennai.

An evening of fun learning

It was the second session with the student reporters of YOCee.
Kids and parents found their way to the well known school in the Mylapore area, the P.S. Higher Secondary school hall.
The air-conditioned hall filled with reporters, their parents and a few grand parents was witness to the energetic participation of the kids in the meeting.
The reporters learnt basics of writing, reporting and working for the web. Later Vincent D' Souza, Editor of Mylapore Times, Adyar Times joined the meeting. He asked the kids to take a little walk around their area in weekends to know the neighbourhood better. It would come in handy when it comes to reporting from their area, he added.
The last year's reporters received Certificates and gift vouchers in recognition of their participation in the Student Reporters Programme.

Reporters of this year at YOCee

The new set of reporters joined the enthusiastic team of young reporters of last year at a briefing session held on June 13.

This informal session introducing YOCee and how to report from the schools and neighbourhood set a prelude for the next session to be held on June 20.

We plan to have a guest journalist to talk to the kids in the next meeting.
